Overview
Rushborough's current Local Plan was adopted in 2018 and sets out where new homes, businesses, and infrastructure can be built across the borough. The Council is now required to review the plan to make sure it is up to date and reflects the latest evidence on housing need, economic growth, transport, and environmental protection.
This is the first stage of the review — sometimes called the "Issues and Options" stage. Before we start writing new policies, we want to understand what you think the key challenges and opportunities are for Rushborough over the next 15 years.
We will be asking for your views on topics including:
- How many new homes are needed and where they should go
- How to support local businesses and the high street
- Protecting green belt land and green spaces
- Improving transport links, walking, and cycling
- Tackling climate change through planning
- Community infrastructure like schools, GP surgeries, and open space
Details of how to take part will be published here when the consultation opens. If you would like to be notified when the consultation launches, please sign up for email updates using the link below.
