Notice of Review of Polling Districts and Polling Places

East Riding of Yorkshire Council hereby give notice that it is conducting a review of
polling places, polling districts and polling stations in accordance with The Electoral
Registration and Administration Act 2013.
The aim of the review is to ensure:

  1. That the current polling districts are appropriate for the areas that they cover.
  2. That all electors have reasonable and practicable facilities for voting.
  3. That as far as is reasonable and practicable, polling places are accessible to
all electors, including those who are disabled.

We would like to invite comments from electors within the District, regarding the District
Boundary, polling stations currently used for elections and any suggestions for
possible alternative venues. The Returning Officer will also be consulted on proposed
polling districts and polling places.

We would also welcome any comments or representations from any local constituency
political party and any person/group who have a particular interest and/or expertise in
access/facilities for persons with any type of disability.

The consultation period will last from 25 June 2026 until 7 August 2026.

Details of the current arrangements and the Returning Officer’s proposals will be
available for inspection at www.eastriding.gov.uk/consult and at the Council’s
