Every year, Rushborough Council sets a budget that funds the services you rely on, from waste collection and street cleaning to social care and children's services. For 2025-26, the Council faces a funding gap of approximately £4.2 million due to rising costs, increased demand for services, and continued reductions in central government funding.

 

We asked residents, businesses, and community organisations to tell us what matters most to them, where they think the Council should focus spending, and whether they support a proposed increase to Rushborough's share of Council Tax.

 

The consultation ran for six weeks from 4 November to 15 December 2024. Responses were considered by the Executive Leadership Team on 8 January 2025 and presented to Cabinet on 28 January 2025. The final budget was agreed at Full Council on 20 February 2025.
